Ringbrothers' Car Wins Again

Ringbrothers' Car Wins Again

Well known for their ability to transform Mustang’s into modern masterpieces, the Ringbrothers have set the bar even higher with Pennsylvania’s Gary Bowers ’65 named “Producer.” The body was widened four inches (two inches on each side rather than cut down the middle), the rockers are extended, there’s a full belly-pan underneath and both the hood and roof are carbon-fiber – signature Ringbrothers touches. Under the hood is high compression Keith Craft-built 427 cubic inch stroker based on the 351 Windsor small block making 740hp crank horsepower. The matt finish three-piece wheels designed by Ringbrothers were built by Forgeline. Baer Brakes, Afco shocks and a suspension consisting of front tubular A-arms and a Watts link set up in the rear give it razor sharp handling. The car gets its name from Bowers’ Waynesburg, Pennsylvania based Producer Supply Company.
The Ringbrothers use Hose Candy products in their builds and the Producer is no exception.  Check out the images of the Producer and check out the rest of the Hose Candy line at www.hosecandy.com

Audi 1.8T Gets Some Hose Candy

Audi 1.8T Gets Some Hose Candy

This Blog post was submitted to us (via Forum post (see link at bottom) and email) by a happy Hose Candy customer.  So happy that he is requesting a Bullet Proof Brake Booster Hose.
Well, I decided to go ahead and take the plunge. Like most of us, I kept seeing commercials for it. With the F23 build in the works, I wanted to refresh all my hoses. My main goal was to get rid of the HORRIBLE worm clamps.
First of all, it’s REALLY easy to do. I got a bunch of assorted sizes of thick walled silicone vac hoses from Hose Candy (enough to do 3 cars), and the “shop kit” (Master Kit from Hose Candy) which is a pretty big assortment of adapters and various fittings. The system is leak free and clean in just a few minutes.
Hose Candy has these pieces that snap onto a nipple like the one coming off of the charge pipe, DV, WG, manifold, etc. Those pieces then snap into other pieces, that fit into a hose end. So far, pretty cool system. I pressurized afterwards, and everything seems fine.

For the purpose of this blog series, let’s start with the engine.
Engine: Everyone know that oil is important to your car running smoothly. Most of us change our oil or have it changed every 3,000 miles. When you change the oil, remember that changing the oil filter and other filters is equally as important. Don’t forget those spark plugs! Very important that they are checked as well as the wires. And when you get in the car, let it warm up for a moment. You know what happens to you, headed into a run or a walk, if you don’t warm up a little? The same premise is for letting your car warm up. If you don’t warm up the car, you can cause oil contamination and that could lead to more oil changes than you would like.
We would like to ask all you drivers out there for your own personal tips on taking care of your engine. What do you recommend? Put your comments in the comment section of this post and let’s make sure we keep all our cars in great shape!
